Singapore

Singapore, known as the LionCity, is located south of Malaysia and linked to the mainland by two causeway bridges. The key islands of the Riau archipelago of Indonesia are just a quick ferry trip away; Thailand and the Philippines are a short plane journey away. Its strategic location and excellent transportation infrastructure make Singapore the gateway to Southeast Asia.
The country is made up of not just one island but a main island with 63 surrounding islets. With a total land area of just 646 square kilometers, it is a compact country brimming with the vibrancy of its 4 million people.
Singapore was established by the British as a trading base attracting merchants from around the world and making it one of Asia’s financial and economic centres. In this country you will find a diverse population of Chinese, Malay, Indian and other ethnic groups, covering a wide spectrum of religions, cultures, and languages, living harmoniously together. The former crown colony combines a rich cultural heritage with a modern lifestyle offering shopping centres, restaurants and night clubs. Its safety, low crime rates, and high standard of living are well renowned. Singapore’s strategic location, excellent facilities, fascinating cultural contrasts and tourist attractions make it a leading destination for business and pleasure.
